After working on a model for a day or so the power went out for a bit. When I reopened the file I get an error message “INTERNAL ERROR .\ToolMash.cpp Lne:1183” with the body of text saying:
Unable to read a subtool.
Object:Body
It gives me that message 11 times, for each subtool I had in the file, and then crashes. I’ve looked all over the internet to see if people have similar problems, and the only real lead I had lead to a support forum in french who had the same problem as me. I used google translate (which is pretty nifty actually), and the solution for him was to “turn his hard drive on” that he had saved the file to. That won’t fix my issue since I saved it to my internal SSD, which is clearly on or my computer would not work. There have been several other posts asking the same question with 0 replies and they’re all 5 or more months old so I figured I’d throw my hat into the ring. If anyone knows a way to recover the file, that would be swell. I have older iterations because stuff like this happens all the time in ZBrush, and I’ve semi-learned my lesson. But this file was over a days worth of work that I don’t want to lose. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dudes.
