I want the document background to be a solid color instead of a gradient. I set the documents Background Gradient Range to 0 then clicked the ‘Save As Startup Doc’ button to save it so it has the solid color background every time I launch ZBrush. What happens is, every time I Initialize ZBrush, it turns back to the gradient background even after doing a Store Config. Is there anything I can do to prevent it from doing this?
Preferences->Config->Store Config:D
You could record a macro that sets the background how you like. Assign a hotkey and it would be quick to reset after initializing. Alternatively, reopen your startup document.

marcus_civis- Thanks Marcus! It isn’t a big deal really. I just moved the range slider to where it’s really easy to get at.
I solved the same problem!! Simply click on the Document tab after choosing your preferred background options and click on “Save As Startup Doc”. So it will always start from that document, i hope i´ve helped
