UI problem Please Help[Answered]

In order to Increase my workflow I wanted to setup a custom UI menus to be accessible via hotkeys. After doing this - my new menus appear at the top and example: “brushes I use often” (not real title)

since I have created 4 - they all went to the beginning in alphabetical order - as soon as I click on another menu at the top, for example “preferences” the “stroke” menu opens up…It is as if by creating 4 custom menus I have pushed all the menus over 4…and when i click on 1 Zbrush thinks I am clicking on a menu 4 menus over.

Not only that but whenever I store my configs and save my UI…My custom menus are at the top but 2 of the 4 have nothing in them until I manually go and load my custom saved UI…- which should have been saved if I hit “store UI” :frowning:

So: 1 - is there any way that I could move my menus at the top and 2 - :’(…

Any help is appreciated, thank you for your time

There are two issues here:

  1. The menus get out of alignment after creating custom menus. To avoid problems with the interface, when you create a custom menu start the name of it with a tilde (~), so that instead of calling the menu Sculpting it is called ~Sculpting. This won’t show on the interface but it will ensure that all your custom interfaces display correctly. On some keyboards you may need to use a different key to get the ~ - for example, on a UK keyboard, use the @ key.

  2. Some interface items will not ‘stick’ properly with a custom interface. The plugin that is posted at the bottom of the ZBrush-4R2-Troubleshooting-FAQ will solve some issues but note that some items simply cannot be added such as the SubTool or 3D Layer lists.

HTH,

Sweet!!! thank you so very much, it works now and it is recalling all my info thanks to the plugin  thank you
