Hi z peeps.
Heres a new model iv just made from a image i found on the net years ago that was made in clay, i think for some film, so i decided to remake him in 3d.
he took me a couple of days to do and the shader is the red wax material that iv modified, people id have a play around with the red wax matcap as you can get some great lookin shaders from it. by messing with the modifiers and colours.
crits are welcome.
hope you like him, THE DEMON.
peace out,
Tony J
Original was made by brilliant sculptor - Miles Teves . Also that was made using Zbrush by Nicolas Collings with permission of design author (also used in his reel and printed in 3DWorld magazine).
So if You ask me - is not a fresh idea but not bad made either. Just try to find put proper inspiration links, since this is not Your design and some people may think so judging on what you placed on your work.
Well im glad i did say i found the original image on the net…phew.
and this image was sculpted by me thats why it says so…
i was not trying to take credit for the design, as i said i found the pic on the web. but i could of easly not put that down in the thread…glad i did now
so yea thanks for pointing out the original designer. he has some other great stuff on there. i also have the pic of tom cruse as the vampire, i was gona do that one aswell… so there you have it …Miles Teves designed it, i remodeled it. no harm done… i may send him the pic see what he thinks…i let you know if he gets back to me
Don’t get me wrong - I am not accusing you of committing some crime Just I know that design pretty good so I just dropped down line or two - to let you know.
btw - you used 3.1 or 3.o to do it? Just curious. And what you think of 3.1?
There iv amended the pic to reflect the original designer. its only right to give the original designer the credit, now i know who it is
er yea that was done in 3.1. i love the feel of the program and im new to zbrush. iv been playing on and of with it for a while but never got my head around it and always got frustrated with it. and just stuck with max.
but seeing what people are doing with it now and me being at uni doing a games design corse i felt if im gona get a job nowadays im gona have to learn it. so iv realy been trying to learn it propper for the last few weeks and im now comfy with the basics. at last.
i just never could get my head around how the canvas worked but now with ver 3 and subtools its more like say a normal workflow. theres still some quirky things about zbrush but its just a case of learning the work flow.
3.1 is buggy and in the last few days has crashed straight to the desktop 2 times. but no more buggy than max.
iv not been doing 3d for the last 4 years but im back into it now, still rusty but things are coming back slowly…
i did test out mudbox before and nearly got that but zbrush has so much more to offer the artist… yea zbrush is great and addictive. quirky but fun
