mental ray, 3dsmax 2009
My displacement map is yielding some faceting along the eyelid. I’ve tried:
- increasing subdivision levels in turbosmooth
- increasing max subdiv in the global displacement settings
- increasing dpsubpix from 0 to 2 when I export map from ZB
First two had no effect. For some reason when I increase dpsubix the generated displacement map is extremely weak, almost flat gray. The top eyelid is the only place it seems to be happening. I double checked and I don’t have overlapping UVs.
