Awesome! …style, pose, render and so on!
The question one should ask is whether this picture still works if the creator wouldn’t have abused the 3rd Reich insignias. I have to say that in general that’s a cheap trick to give an image a certain aura. As this isn’t a piece of art bedded in a critical context, though the execution of the technical and visual side are stunning, but rather a comical illustration, I don’t see a reason to go the Nazi way.
Unfortunately the post war generation is loosing more and more the connection to what has happened in the years before 45. If one would have lost a member of the family or even his/her whole family, one wouldn’t use these signs just like any other trademark or consider this image just cool.
If she would have just worn black leather or latex she would be without doubt a sexy girl, one of many, but unfortunately the nazi charm gives some spectators a special kick. Unfortunately this kick/coolness is rather a slap into the face for everybody who is affected by right wing violence or committed to keeping kids/youngsters on the right (not right wing) path.
So if one uses this kind of stuff, it shouldn’t be solely to receive enthusiastic critics from those who lost the senisbility to realize what national socialism has done in the past and present.
Leaving out political discussion if the poster uses most extreme political insignias can’t be an option.
Cheers
Thomas
P.S.: I give a f… about political correctness, but political correctness and sensibility/(cultural) empathy are two pairs of shoes.
“political correctness and sensibility/(cultural) empathy are two pairs of shoes.”
Yeap, high heel shoes, exactly like in the image.
“creating it for creation’s sake”
That would be really nice even if it would mean to get away from the world we live in for a while.
I guess how this touches you all depends on the country you live in.
I once saw pictures of a swastika themed restaurant in japan.
In germany however we talk about the 3rd reich almost all our school lives
in history classes and its the only way to go.
I personally am not offended by the picture
but with creating it one should be aware that it will
(or should) bring along discussion and controversy.
Wow, such a beautiful piece!
i think you are right thomas.
It’s a GREAT job!! I love it!!
Niice!! I didn´t know this artist…Thank you!!! ;)
She’s awesome! I can’t await the next girls!
Would you mind to explain your workflow a bit?
Greetz!
Woah! Genial Rebeca
i saw that one on CG Society … very nice character and the render is cool as well
Cool!
I thought “RYDEN” right away! Not quite as distorted as his stuff.
As far as the Nazi theme… well they were the best dressed facists ever!
It’s funny, I’m less attracted to this picture because of the tat than the quasi-nazi attire.
I don’t think the portrait detracts from the pic so much. I think it’s cool that it’s your BF and he’s looking at “you”.
It’s funny though that when it comes to portraying nazis, the one thing they change is the swastika which was and still is a religious symbol in asia created long before the nazis!
looks very cool and lovely !
I like it all…I’m trying to learn this program but all I do is spend time looking at other peoples work and pictures…
Great!!!
Looks sweet man! I would have to say my only suggestion would be to grab some reference on some lady’s wearing high heels. To me the back heal of the shoe is a bit high and the toe part looks odd.
Cheers,
JP
Congratz on top row! Impressive work, 5 stars from me!
!
Perfect work! good example of using different materials.
hahah… you didn’t think the waist looked too small but you thought the heels were too high?
This isn’t a photorealistic piece, it’s more “extreme”. I think it’s perfect ('cept for the tat http://www.pixolator.com/zbc/images/smilies/rolleyes2.gif)!!!
The more I look at this pic, the more I like it, it’s that perfect balance between real and cartoon.
kay… why aren’t the smilies working for me?
