Just like anything else you want to get good at – Practice everyday as much as you can

Agreed. its the only way. Just try to make a sculpt of something, anything, every day. And with that sculpt, try something new with it, every day. Like a new brush, or use a new tool. Or a new subject matter. Keep it free and fun, to keep your motivation high. Don’t try anything to overly ambitious at first. Just get the time in to learn the interface, to learn the keyboard short cuts, and to get a good work flow that you’re used to. Over time, you’ll just start getting better and better. You’ll know where things are, you won’t fear the mysterious other pallets that once terrified you. you just start diving into things and seeing what happens.

Do all the basic beginner tutorials on Pixologic site too. They’re amazing for getting started with the basic stuff you’ll be doing constantly.

Good luck. Post often.
