Try this at home

With insanity fast approaching…I’ll quickly
type out this warning…

AARRRRRGGGHHH!

I know human head tools really shouldn’t be made to any great perfection. I tried to see how far one could go in that direction. Trying to portray age in a ZBrush tool…without use of textures…will drive one insane. Age up to 40 odd is fine…beyond that lay daymeres…sleepless nights, soiled undies etc. No, seriously I love it. I have got some better models, and when I get the time to learn how to combine, layers etc…I will post them.
This model really did annoy me though, but it will be improved and completed…one day. Plus I still owe a model…shortly. I lied about the undies.

I need a 3d blend tool.

 :D

Below is a bad effort…

Hi Gurgler
That is very cool :+1: In order to help in achieving the ‘old/young’ look, I will post today/tonight few tips about controlling the smoothness of the surface.

That’s some pretty fine modeling Mr.Gurgler
(and the condition of your underwear is actually way to much information)

Very nice.

Gurgmeister, I can’t WAIT until you start posting some finished masterpieces here. Your modeling has come a LONG way! VERY nice. :+1: :+1:

Thanks people…

I know I sound negative in my post above, however it is mainly because I’m a little disappointed with that model to date…I tend to concentrate on the flaws within it,…and lose sight of some of the good areas
and overall effect.

Pixolator…yes that would be most appreciated.

Sometimes we can be our own worst critic, but I admire that because I think it drives us forward. I have a guitar playing friend who told me in high school that if he ever stopped learning things with it that he would hang it up forever. Well, it is 30 years later and he is still making a living out of it. I guess what I want to say is enjoy the process my friend and when you get it where you want it go ahead and take it further.

Hi
I have posted the tutorial in this thread

Gurgler: This tutorial demonstrates one method of modeling and it would be great if you can share your knowledge and insights about drawing/modeling the human head. I am sure that information, such as proper placement and size of the eyes, nose ,mouth and such, will be appreciated by all members
