This might be a real easy one but I dont seem to get it…
Ok, I have created a model and textured it in Zbrush… At subdivision level 1 I started texturing the guy… Everything seems fine… Then i export the model by flipping the texture Vertically and import it in maya…
This is what I get…
Can you see those ugly white and dark lines inside the red circle… Why is this happening?
In Zbrush I clicked on the fix seam to fix it…Also in maya I turned of filter, but this thing still seems to be there…
Can anyone help?
cant anyone help me on this one? can you guys see the pic?
Hey guys, i really need help on this one… 90 views so far and no replies…
I think Aurick isn’t around, he normally replies very quickly…
You will probably get a quicker response to a question if you post in the Questions & Troubleshooting forum.
Did you try pressing Tool>Texture>Fix Seams before exporting out of ZBrush?
yes… I clicked it before exporting from zbrush

Then you’ll have to wait until someone familiar with Maya answers.
thanks anyway marcus_civis… Ive posted this in the Questions & Troubleshooting forum… as you suggested…
Anyone knows how I get rid of them white lines??
First, make sure that you have texture antialiasing and MIP-mapping (or any other texture filtering) turned off in your renderer.
If that’s not enough, load your model and texture again in ZBrush, then press Tool>Texture>Fix Seams. This will expand the edges of the texture beyond the UV edges in order to compensate for rendering engines that aren’t as precise as ZBrush.
Finally, you may need to use the Adjust UV’s feature (also found in the Tool>Texture menu) with offsets of + or - .05 in either direction (or both). Once you know the offset that you need, you can use that same offset for all future work.
try increasing the fix seams border amount instead of using 4
also try turning on or off the filerting in the attribute editor of your texture file found under effects.
Aurick and the rest, thanks…
AndrewHwang- thanks man, i increased the fix seams border and it worked…
