Trouble Exporting (Noob)

1.jpg Hi I am working on a cell mesh on zbrush and I want to expot both the mesh and the texture on 3ds max 9. However if I try the method in the Z classroom video it seems to mess up. Ill attach a screen to show what happens to the texture map.

What am I doing wrong please help :eek:

What is the texture supposed to look like? I don’t see any problem with the object or the texture.

If you’re refering to the blockiness of the polypaint, it is simply that you only have 29k polys in that object…so you can only have 29000 pixels in the texture map that is being applied to I’m not sure what texture size that is…but a 1k texture needs about 1million. Right now your model can hold a 170x170 sized texture map. So if the texture you are trying to apply that that is going to be larger than 170x170 you need more polys :slight_smile:

:smiley: Thanks for the info goast. That might just be the problem. However I do need the polygons to have limit as when they get too big I cannot use them… So is there a way to maximize the pixels without increasing the polygons? or is that just wishful thinking?
