The Trollocs from “The Wheel of Time” series by Robert Jordan inspired the creation of this character. I worked up the concept then created the base mesh elements within Max… the sculpting, posing, and rendering were executed within Zbrush… the compositing and color were then done in Photoshop. Love it. Thought about making one of these a while ago, but I’m rubbish at concepting stuff. Not at all what I’d imagined them to look like, but fantastic now that I see them.
Thanks guys! Yeah, Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time universe has a lot of depth. I read the first few novels during art school… His work inspired a great deal of ideas for my college assignments, and to this day. Here is the concept I worked up. I originally had the character’s arm\ leg deformed but opted to create a majority of the sculpt symmetrical to save time. I’ve created video game characters for the past 18 yrs so its kind of hard to break away from any time saving techniques, even if its my own personal work which has no real deadline. Glad you like it!
