Hmmm… every time I call “top row” on a piece it gets totally ignored by the powers that be. So let me just say this should NEVER be on the top row. No way, no how! Nuh uh… Not this one.

this is really awesome, lots of dynamism and great sculpting. i couldn’t however, identify the tree/club at first - the roots looked like legs for a while and i couldn’t understand why leaves were growing out of it. could be me.
then i saw the color shot and all my concerns vanished. great piece!
His sign really comes off well here. The use of the Fibermesh also adds to the effect.

Wow! I like much more this last shot than the first! Did you rendered in other platform? the SSS of the skin and the leafs look from mental ray or vray.

VERY nice piece of work, only nit pick would be that it would of been nice to of had some more colour variation on the troll, as it stands there is a very strong green from the trees that is sat upon all browns on the troll, maybe some grass or moss on his shoulders and a little on the chest would help sell the trees on his shoulders better and break up all the browns.
