Great work Lonnie!!!it is a joy to see you posting again!!
hi mentat - i meant it the other way round. why do you use c4d (and not only zbrush ? )
Mentat’s beast is back! Looking forward to seeing more updates…
This isn’t really an update. It is more of a test. The ZBrush model was taken into Vue d’Esprit where it was rendered. Then the image was taken back into ZBrush where it was touched up using the 2d tools. One thing I did find was that the texture I created in ZBrush exported quite nicely with the model into Vue.
outstanding melding of two outstanding programs lon…the entry area into the water is gourgeous…water is easy but that believable transition is whats separates the men from the boys…
and you chose a great scene for him too…love it
Just adding my two bits…wow…very cool…
Wow! That is some take on the ‘Creature From The Black Lagoon!’ Fascinating watching the progress on this. I notice that the Vue render doesn’t have some of the bumps on the monster
that the earlier version had. Were those bumps
part of the texture or added afterward? In other words…“How You Do Dat?”
Inspirational, as usual!
It looks great Mentat.
Thanks for a link back to those eyes of yours. Somehow I missed that.
Great update Lonnie!! Really good integration with different programs!! Great tecnique !!!
Thanks all.
Beleski the “bumps” on the other version were created in C4D utilizing a hypernurbs extrude. The reason you don’t see them on this Vue version is because I used an earlier model that did not have them. Vue does not seem to smooth the polys as well as C4D and without the hypernurbs cage the bumps would look very harsh in Vue.
