Here’s this year’s card.

Here’s an early WIP of a model I’m working on for a client. Still a lot of work to do on surface detail and maps, but I figured it was far enough along to post a WIP shot

New Work. Still doing some material tweaks in Keyshot, but here’s where I’m at with it just now. May try to add feathers at some point.

I really like the sculpting here. The texturing and composition are truly outstanding.
Looks real… great work.
Thank you very much

Nice from any angle!
Any hints has to how you made the background?.. Thanx.
Thanks again. The background is done in Photoshop using lots of different layer types, image samples, digital painting and manipulation tools. The only 3D elements are the dinosaur and the rocky “plinth” it’s posed on
Got it! This really helps. Thanx again.

nice concept!
Thank you, Zayacoon
HI all. It was great fun being able to test out the powerful new modeling features in ZBrush2018.
Attached are images of two of the models I created for the test. All modeling and texturing was done inside Zbrush 2018. Keyshot was used for the colored renders and Photoshop for comp.
Both models were done using Sculptris Mode to create the original model – no dynamesh at all. The spacecraft, helmet and belt buckle for the panicky alien were done almost entirely using the new insert primitive functions along with the new deformers. Final detailing was done using my traditional Zbrush techniques.
ZBrush 2018 has some really amazing new additions to the Zbrush toolkit, and I’m looking forward to watching the direction everyone’s art will take as people discover ever newer and amazing ways to utilize the new capabilities.
