The Hobbits are so busy, that they hardly perceive the outside world. After a few beers and a good pipe “Old Toby”, they sometimes believe to have seen Ents.
Or Entwives? Maybe so.

great idea! how about make the alive one in a movement to emphasize the contrast live/dead? for example begging for food, or similar? just a thought, its great you pick this topic up again, to explore it more.
