Truly a stunning Piece Kris, Your work is always an inspiration. Where would these forums be without artists like yourself to show the full potential of what can be acheived in ZB.

Well said, I too agree that this artwork has a lot of soul in it. But the soul didnt fall from the sky, you crafted it with your skill and technique. So i believe it is all connected. Just my thought

I have followed your work ever since I joined this community and I have always thought your images and work to be some of the most inspirational to be found.
I truly believe this is some of your best zbrush work yet. Thank you for sharing and for willing us lesser mortals on to becoming better artists.
Trurl, juliowassaf, angelo,
thanks a lot guys.
midnightgreen,
thank you. I don’t have any book about those subjects so I couldn’t tell. The thing that I normally do is to look for references of real life things that can be adapted to the 3D world. For instance, the best books I can imagine for learning lighting in 3D are the photography/cinema books about lighting. The best books about CG modeling are the books about traditional modeling and sculpture. Once you start understanding how those things work in real life, it’s a matter of time to learn how to interpret them in 3D. The only books about CG that I ever had are only showcases, not technical books (well, maybe a few veeeery old ones). On the other hand, I have a pile of art books (most of them in Brazil right now. I miss them so much).
vladiseco,
thank you man. Your work is amazing. Always a pleasure to follow
panstar,

PS-Congratulations on getting a new job at Lucasfilm.
Hey Antropus, thanks for taking the time to answer me, I wasnt really thinking of CG books anyways, I just seen for example some of your Composition lines overlays of your other works (like the master and serveant& machine flesh ones) you worked out the composition there pretty meticulously, did you find any of those composition ideas/elements in artbooks?
Hi Kris - how are you?
This woman looks just magnificent, and she has an air of nobility about her also
It 's great to see you posting again, and to show us all a little more of your uncanny magic
Great work, and one of my best from you so far!
