Trial version for ZBrush 4R5, and workflow with Blender 2.66?

Hi there, I’ve noticed that ZBrush 4R5 was released some time ago, along with awesome new features for 3D sculpting/modelling tools (including for hard surface modelling). I’m currently working on developing 3D characters in the latest version of Blender 2.66 (the base mesh process), and I would like to try out the latest version of ZBrush on my laptop (to have a go at the modelling/sculpting tools for my character developments) before I would buy the full version. So I wanted to ask if there is a 30 day trail for ZBrush 4R5 that I can download, and will it run on Windows 8? I also wanted to ask if there is a modelling/texturing workflow method that I could work between Blender and ZBrush? And do you have any related links to bring in or have some advice/suggestions about this modelling workflow subject? I would be very grateful for this. Thank you, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Zbrush works well on Windows 8, but there is no trial version for it and hasn’t been for quite a long time / many versions.

Modeling and texturing between programs won’t be a problem, as zbrush exports to the incredibly common OBJ file format.

Thanks Cryrid :D. That would help me ease the stress to worry about working between Blender and ZBrush. Though it’s a shame that theres no trial versions available for Zbrush, as I was going to try and test the workflow. But then again, I can try doing the exporting method for my polygon meshes as Blender also has the “.obj” exporting option (they call it “Wavefront”).

There is a GoZ addon for Blender. I only use it for modelling as I don’t do a lot of texturing and animation or rigging. So I’m not sure its limitation with those.

You can find it here:

It was a little tricky to install but works great between Zbrush and Blender.
