I tried to install the trial version and it just asks for a serial number. I had tried it before a couple years ago but it’s practically a different program now with all the changes. Is there some way to get another trial?
The trial has not changed because it’s still version 3.1. We have not released a trial for version 3.5 yet.
Once the trial is expired, it is not possible to restart it. You’ll need to wait for the new trial for version 3.5.
I only want to try 3.1. I mean 3.5 would be better but it’s been made clear that I can’t have that one, so 3.1 would do.
There is no way to restart the trial once it has expired. It is a 30 day trial, beginning with the day that it was first run. Short of reinstalling Windows, it cannot be extended.
That’s pretty sad to hear. Other 3D sculpting companies are more than willing to offer a new demo for a new software version.
We do expect to be releasing a trial for 3.5. That will be a new demo, and you will be able to run it. We simply can’t restart the 3.1 trial; that’s all I’m saying.
Once a trial is available for 3.5, feel free to download it and try it out. That’s what I said in my first reply, too. 
I only started talking about 3.1 because you then said, “I only want to try 3.1”.
For the third time, I didn’t want to restart the 3.1 trial. I’ve never used 3.1 and I would like to try it. Never-mind I’m trying it on a different computer.
how do i activate the trial version, or can i activate the trial ? im a newb to z brush and am very interested in this program… please help
Once the trial has expired, the only way to continue using ZBrush is to purchase a license. There is no way to restart the trial timer.
However, if you purchase ZBrush at this point you will receive version 3.5 rather than a serial number for 3.1. So you might as well uninstall 3.1 at this point because you won’t be restarting it. You can purchase 3.5 or you can wait for a 3.5 trial to be made available, which I expect to be after the Mac version has been released.
