Trex + Rapid Prototype Model

Hey everyone,

This was my first attempt at Zbrush for a major project for school. It was on the evolutionary path of dinosaurs but was pretty much an excuse to use Zbrush and model a Trex.

I also had access to a rapid prototype machine at another campus. They also needed an excuse to make something since they got it not too long ago and needed to really test it out.

I’m pretty pleased at how it turned out for a first attempt though I still have a lot to learn like rigging and maps for example. Awaits the next Zbrush version for mac. Take care.

llllllllllllllllllucky!!! man i wish i had acess to a rapid prototype machine… good stuff man the print looks really good

lol dammmm.yea lucky bugga :):).looks awsome :).

Lucky!!
Awesome!!

Yet another good reason to work hard and go to school.

The only thing I would’ve added is the classic “cut out” to give the effect of a pupil and iris in the eye. But if you’re going to airbrush this, then you won’t need that.

nerveink: Thanks man! I really have to thank my professor for hooking me up with the industrial design/engineering department. Since the professor was busy with his own class’ models, he allowed me to handle the machine myself! I felt like an archeologist as I ‘unearthed’ my dinosaur from the powder.

DELTATHUND3R: Lucky and also out $200.00.

Pigumon: Thanks! It actually does have the cut out, but it barely shows on the prototype model… Too afraid to airbrush it.
