transpose master question

I’m trying to pose a female model, and I can’t move her torso at all…it cracks her face. No matter if I use “move” or “rotate”, even the slightest movement causes her face to shift. I don’t get why it does it. I have the root zsphere in her hips.

I included images of the fairy with the bones I put in…a close up of what her face looks when I try to shift the hips (I just did a generalized movement, it really doesn’t matter cuz it always does the same thing) & one of how it’s supposed to look.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to add some more zspheres to control the mesh. The size of the zspheres doesn’t have much of an effect but the position does. You can see the sort of arrangement that works well in this video:
