Transpose master problem

I am posing a model using transpose master and have run into a problem. I am using the zsphere armature and when I move an arm or leg at the joint it doesn’t act like a joint. It softens the bend causing the armature to protrude out of the mesh. How to I get the mesh to bend at the joint?

If you add a zsphere either side of the joint it will help control the bending. But zsphere rigging works best with quite low resolution meshes. If the mesh is too dense it can be difficult to get a good result.
