Transpose master annoying error

Ok, i dont know if anyone else is suffering this annoying error, i made a serch and culdnt find any post related to it.

My problem is very time i hit the TPOSE MESH button, when zbrush starts going subtool by sub tool it suddenly stops and this error message appears:

After that nothing happens and the tpose mesh is never created, then i cant use transpose master again, unless i restart zbrush and the error keeps hapening every time i use it, some times it works, and ive not find a reason of why it works with some tools and not with others. please help, this is extremely annoying :confused:

This error happened too in version 4 r4.

I’m having the exact same issue, but on a mac.

But my transposer master has completely stopped working.

Can you both check two things for the models you are using with Transpose Master:

  1. That there are no duplicate SubTool names.
  2. That the names have no characters other than alphanumeric (A-Z, 0-9) and hyphens (-). Especially check that there are no slashes (/ or ).

Let me know if that solves it. If after checking/correcting these you still find the error occurring can you share the model with me? This error is proving difficult to pin down.

I checked all of my names. 2 subtools had the same name, ie. “subtool_2” and “subtool_2_2”. I went through all the subtools and renamed them differently. My transpose master is now working. If it gives me an error again I’ll update you. Thanks Marcus!

I’m glad it’s working for you now, though I’m not convinced the names you changed were actually causing the problem…
