Transparency

HELLO

I have tried to seek after the solution in the FAQ, the forum and in the wiki, but i cant find it…

In ZBrush 3.12…When i have two subtools…ImagePlaneX and demohead…and I choose demohead… and i press Transp…because I want to see the imageplane behind it (and the texture on it)…

What happends ? … the imageplane get transparency!! …NOT the Demohead!

What do i wrong?

Can somebody help?

:frowning:

This is a known issue in 3.12 and should be addressed in the update we’re working on.

OK…then its just to wait for the update…

Thanks for the answer…

Sorry for intrusion, but is the Transp problem still up in the 3.5R2?
Because I have same problem under Windows.

Same here, is there a workaround for this???

Anyone know of a fix for this? I am still seeing this in R3. Select subtool and hit transparency - imageplanes go transparent, not the selected object. Tried messing with the settings in Preferences > Draw but to no avail.

In R3, simply turn off Ghost. It’s in the right shelf, as well as in the Preferences palette.

Hi Aurick,

That produces the effect but only when you have that object deselected. The images are set up on an X-plane, so I’m looking to have the selected object be transparent rather than the deselected objects. Turning off Ghost makes the deselected objects become transparent. There used to be a setting to select which behavior you wanted but it is gone now.

I am still having this problem in R3 ?!
Is it sorted out or … in ZB4 ?
