Transferring UVs

Somewhere along the line ZB decided to trash my lowest level mesh. I have no idea when or why this happened but the worst part about it is that the UVs were obviously part of that low-end mesh and disappeared with it. What’s left now is a string of quad shaped UVs lined to infinity off the right side of my texture map. So, here are my questions:

–Is there anyway to reload an older OBJ that still has the UVs intact and transfer them to the new ZB file?

–Or is there a way to use GoZ and while the model is in Maya, take to Headus and back then bring that into ZB?

No offense to UV-Master lovers out there, but I don’t particularly like it. I’ll use it as a last resort, but was hoping for a solution that will allow me to continue using the UVs I already had laid out.

Thanks in advance,

tool>geometry>reconstructLowestSubD…or whatever the button is called.
This will bring back your lowest SubD level.

tool>import>grab your old file with UV’s

work as you normally would.

you may need to project the mesh if Zbrush decides to give your mesh a new point order when it reconstructs the subD levels though…but it should be okay.

TY! I will try this out and let you know how it works for me. TY again.
