Transfering HD geometry data after reprojection

I have a model that needs to the UV’s changed. Unfortunately I have layers and HD geometry.

When I import the new uv lowest level the geometry has changed, thus everything needs reprojecting. I lose all the layer data and the HD geometry data.

Is there a workaround for this at all ? As I can’t simply reimport the layer data as the topology is different.
