help me please! I can’t transfer texture into maya.
when I export a model in obj the texture is saved in mtl format and maya doesn’t recognise it
Is there any solution to render in maya a texture that I’ve made in zbrush?
Actually, the MTL doesn’t hold the texture. What you need to do is flip the texture vertically (there’s a button for this in the Texture palette) and then use Texture>Export to get it out of ZBrush.
Of course, you’ll need to know how to apply a texture to a model in Maya.
I mean’t without UVs, with uv everything works ok
UV’s are what tell your app how to apply the texture. Without UV’s there is NO way to export a texture successfully.
It’s a pity, but zbrush can do it without uvs
Well, in a way, Polypaint isn`t really texture in 3D sense.
The reason ZBrush can do without UV is because the color and material information got baked into the pixols themselves.
While in other 3D applications, texture were read from texture file in accordance to UV coordinate.
Read the PolyPaint section of the online documentation. (See my signature.) There are instructions there for how to convert the polypaint to a texture so it can be exported.
Thanks!
