Transfer sculpting work from one model to another?

Hi Everyone
I have been sculpting onto an imported OBJ to make a displacement map for export to Modo.
Basically I want to go back into Modo, do some geometry tweaks on the original OBJ and then import that revised version into ZBrush but retain the the sculpting work I have done in ZBrush so far and transfer it to the revised OBJ, within Zbrush

Also the current model has a GUV UV map assigned to it. If I import the revised OBJ into ZBrush but give it a different UV layout can i still transfer my sculpting to it?

Any tutorials or advice would be appreciated

Cheers

You can use projection to project the detail from one subtool to another. So you would import your revised model and append it as a subtool to your old model, subdivide it enough to hold the detail and the project the high res detail from the original to the new model. There’s a video here that should help:

Thanks for replying Marcus.

I have been looking for some info on projecting detail from dynamesh sculpts so I appreciate you sending me that link. Its very useful. In the meantime I had found some other tutes about projecting which were very similar to the workflow Ive been adopting so I’m starting to get my head around the process now.

Thanks again!
