Transfer Base Topology to Dissimilar Mesh

Hello,

I am new to zbrush and am investigating the software for use in an established visual effects modeling pipeline. I would like to accomplish the following task:

I have a low density topologically correct base mesh that I would like to efficiently transfer to a unordered high density scanned mesh that is a completely different subject. I have come across a company’s website that claims they are doing this is zbrush (From their website:“Using applications such as ZBrush4R3, it is now a simple task to bake information from one mesh to another in a matter of minutes, with minimal cleanup time”).

I have included a picture of the two source meshes and the third image of the final result. I have tried to accomplish this task myself using the Zproject brush but was not able to produce a clean result. I will gladly pay anyone that can help me solve this work flow satisfactorily.

Thanks.

tolls subtools, there is a project button, use move brush to align the topology in right places, like eyes loops into eyes, mouth to mouth, and press project, its ready

Make sure to divide your low poly before projecting to match the amount of polys of the scan as much as possible. I find that gives the closest projections, then you can divide back down and delete the higher subdivision levels if you don’t need them. good luck
