Topology questions

i just started learn how to use topology to edit the mesh topology. So far everything is fine until I started drawing the topology of surfaces like the ears or the back of the model (with the front of the model done), the lines from the back and and surface you are working on overlaps each other and you cannot tell which surface or point is which. It become more messy as you continue working. Is there a way to masked away the parts where you don’t want to touch or hide away to reduce the confusion?

Go to Preferences menu and in the Draw submenu, turn Front Opacity to 0.95 and Back Opacity to 0.01
