why is it that when i try to retopologogize my base mesh, i get an error or message saying that my mesh must be below 1500 points or polys?
this has never happened in 3.1 (using 3.5) how can i fix this or make it so i can retopo higher poly or point counts?
actually the limit was there in 3.1 it just didn’t notify you, if you tried it nothing would happen.
also 15,000 not 1500
That limit only exists if you are trying to edit an existing topology (ie if you pick Select Topo), you can click on ‘edit topo’ to load a mesh in and start from scratch regardless of how big it is.

Click on Rigging, and load your Reference mesh there - not in topology! :lol:
