I am new to z brush and I have a few questions about retopology.
To start off I have modeled a character to the point where I am happy with the level of detail but it is an incredibly high poly count and for Ideal poly flow I want to retopologize.
I saw a few tutorials and read some things in the forums about how to do it so I managed to retopologize my character by…
- Choosing a z shpere
- Going to rigging and selecting my high poly model
- Retopologized the model to my liking.
Here is where I am stuck. I would like to know how to take my new base cage or retopologized model I just did and project the high rez work I sculpted using my new poly flow?
The two big questions I have are

When and how do you use the Topology>Select Topology button and would I select my new low res cage or my high res model? what does it do?

What is make adaptive skin and when is that used?

Project? I assume this should be turned on?
Basically I have my retop mesh and my high res mesh ready to go. I dont know how to keep all my work using my new topology. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
