This work is inspired by an ancient Chinese novel–Outlaws of the Marsh, a book considered amongst China’s four greatest literary works. The portrait is referring to a well-known novel scene, in which Yang Zhi(杨志 nickname: blue-faced beast) is selling a sword to a local thug. After accidentally killed the blackmailing thug, Yang Zhi fled to join the rebellious brigands in Liangshan Marsh.
The production cycle is one month’s spare time. Yang Zhi is one of my favorite characters in the novel. Hope you folks also like it.
