Another shot with a little more…
They are looking good Jason. I had a quick look…had some trouble with the hair…lack of time… Will upload a zip…if you want…but it won’t have the detail of this pic… however easily workable.
Very nice model. Like the hat & hair combo.
Hey ETA not bad. Of course you were supposed to follow the look we started with.
Thanks Giantsun, join in.
update - heavy use of Zspheres - check rope around waist!

OK, now I’m getting something I like. It is also easilt adaptable. I tried having the eyes out instead of in and find it makes a better mesh. I think that modeling the eyelid closed, masking a slit and dropping an eyeball behind is a better solution.
Wish I had more time inbetween things.
The rest of you sure have fallen off the pace on this and my other thread.

Yet another idea. Simple crosshatch work used as mask, inflate 1, or brush on as desired. Then the toon shader starts to look very clever.
WOW!! That effect rocks.
It sure does open up some possibilities, does it not?!!
This was done with Stencil, I think it will be best for detail in the right area.
I still need to generate a finer detailed stencil, but the possibilities…
Jason been reading your toon and comics posts and they are cool
The toon shader to me is looking very good getting to a very pro look.
I like the cross hatch effect as it looks like it would be easy to paint over in touch up for shadows, etc
Hi Jason, you are really stretching the posibilites with this. Zbrush is full of surprises! 50.
the crosshatching stuff is definitely sweet!
hey JB…still playign with your light settings…loving them…and enhanced a few things…I am by no means good at lighting so its a pleasure to tweek your settings…
put this silly little image together to test out the settings…about six layers…reminded me of a furnace type thingy at first…and turned Polaris’s biohazard alpha into a 3d model. Water added with psp flood effect by flamingpear.com (just to add a litte more interest to a failed composiiton)…I could see this as a black light glow in the dark felt poster thingy…o the colors…lol…thnx Jason…
Ron
Characters are developing as are the tests.
I’ve always enjoyed this particular style - sorta Conte pencil and smudge tool. Or that could just be me…

Jason this is excellent (the Conte pencil effect) - for graphic novel drawings and comic books (and animation) that then can be colored over
I like the sepia Conte pencil effect - looking very pro
Here you go - let’s see… It is a derivative of my toon material I posted, using default lights. As you use darker colours, you may have to increase the Ambiant of the material. Add the ZMT ending back if it doesn’t appear after unzipping.
Jason I used your Conte toon shader on an imported building use color for texture and rendered best render with shadows
