Hey, real cool character and render :slight_smile: would love to hear more about your render setup. A few things though, you have quite a distracting bit of stretched and jagged poly’s visible right above his leg. Also, I would take a look at his neck again. Awesome toony characters like this can really benefit from good line work and nice curves. Take a look at Frederik Storm’s work on these boards and pay attention to his awesome curves.

Anyway, good work, keep it up :slight_smile:

Here is my technique

Found this character from sam nielsons blog which is a great blog by the way
Modelled everything in maya
switched to zbrush and sculpted the details and did poly painting

i was gonna render in mental ray but then ı changed my mind never used zbrush renderer before so i gave it a shot
im not very familiar with the render settings of zbrush
as lightning goes its a standart 3 point light
i used an additıona light for rim pass

and the rest was 6 dıfferent passes and photoshop
the only problem i had was to get 4k render out of zbrush
dont know why but it crashed everytime

so went back couple of steps and merged my subtools to a single mesh
and it worked :slight_smile:
