tool/mesh rotating and won't let me edit anymore.

Hey guys I’ve run into a problem. I tried to polypaint this model I’ve been working on for a very long time but when I did " Fill object" on all subobjects to give everything a base color and wanted to proceed to add a texture to spotlight things stopped working. If I have my wacom or mouse on the subobject and try to paint on it or sculpt it will simply rotate the mesh rather than do anything. I’ve tried facerolling over the keyboard in hope to find the magic key but so far unsuccessful … does anyone know what’s going on here ?

If you have Spotlight images on screen the you need to turn off Brush>Samples>Spotlight Projection to sculpt on the mesh in the normal way.

when you went to hit fill object, you may have hit fill canvass. go back to color and hit “clear”, then click on the canvass and draw the tool out, hit edit and you’re back to normal. your undo history will still be there.

Turn “Edit” (T) off and make sure “Z Intensity” slider is set to 100 then turn “Edit” back on.

edit: I just noticed that I already solved this for you here. Glad your back in business.
