Hello i guess this is my first post so hello :slight_smile: well it appears that im having some problems loading my tool into Zbrush.

Basically what the problem is that when i load my tool into the zbrush everything seems to open allright but the problem is that none of the goemetry is visible at all, even when i draw it onto the canvas it is still not there :confused:

However when i go into edit mode and i run my mouse cursor over the canvas i get those red dotes on the screen so it seems like the object is there but hidden somehow but ive checked and it says 0 hidden polys. this is really anoying me as its the only copy of the file i have (stupid me) and ive put alot of work into this :frowning: if anyone can help that will be great

Your tool is probably behind the clipping plane or the existing pixols of the document. Either clear the canvas and draw your tool again or enter transform move mode and drag outside the gyro to move your tool along the Z axis of the document.

If you have pixols on the current layer you want to preserve you can move the current layer’s pixols away from you prior to drawing your tool. Set Layer > Displace Z to a positive value to move it away from you. Set it to a negative value to move it towards you.

Another possible answer is that you have the Flat Color material selected and the currently selected color is the same as the Document background. That will result in what you experience. The Flat Color material is not shaded by the ZBrush renderer, instead it simply shows the true colors of the tools polygons or texture.

Check the ZBrush help under ZBrush Essentials > Document Clipping Plane for info about the clipping plane.

My guess would be to check the Draw palette. Odds are good that Mrgb or Zadd is turned off.

TVeyes your my hero lol, you were right it was behind the cliping plane and i did exactly what you said and it appeared, i am a real noob at this software, only had it for 3 days so an easy mistake to make i guess. This is what im doing if your interested.
