Thanks for the comments amsomnia! I think the problem might not actually be the size of the head but the proportion of the body, so I changed the proportions and tweaked the pose a bit. I also enlarged the trapezius muscles to make them more noticable.

I posted here some reference pics that I am using. Toguro is a tall character, he kinda looks like an overly muscular basketball player.

@amsomnia: Thanks! Toguro’s muscle structure is very interesting to model, I just hope my comp would be able to handle all of the detail I have to put on this mesh to match the reference pics.

More updates! I need crits on the anatomy. The muscles on my reference are kinda vague especially on the arms. I’ve looked at different anatomy books and pics and am now confused. The muscles on the lower arms seem to be more complicated than I thought. It looks different on every image I’ve looked at. I want to make the base muscle structure near realistic before I add the unique features of Toguro. Please feel free to do paint overs on these screenshots. Thanks in advance.

Been working on this project only during my spare time. Worked more on the face, modified the proportions and erased most of the detail I made on the previous update, it looked too uniform and unrealistic. I’m going to redo the veins and on put it on a different layer. Still got a long way to go.

I’ll probably get punished for posting in a super old thread but. I think Toguro is an interesting choice because his muscles are (if hes not 100%) normal but over-blown supremely, i think it could (i’m probably wrong i have no idea about this stuff) give good muscle detail and sculpting practice. I’m hoping to get ZBrush digital sculpting human anatomy in the mail soon, since i would love to learn this wonderful software.
