To add thickness to an object for 3d print. Helpppp

Hello to everyone. It is the first time I am planning to print one of my zbrush creations. Well, I have modeled the object (a humanoid monster with good amount of details) and I have not thought to add thickness to it before starting. I guess it was a stupid mistake.
Is there a way to add thickness, now, without losing details? All the ways have tried (extract; panel loop; zmodeler) brought me ridicolous results: the monster look always like an air balloon.
Please, please, every help would be very very appreciated.

You’ll want to use dynamesh thickness. You’ll also have to do some clean up most likely.

This will also help you.
