Tin Bin

Hello everyone, my name is Teleki Raul Joshua. I’m making this my projects thread here on zcentral. Been stalking the forums long enough, now i just want to share some work.

The Suit.- Personal Project. I used zbrush for sculpting on this one. I just want to mention that all textures were painted by hand and that i didnt use any live reference for the head- thus the present look. I'd really like your thoughts or questions on this, since it is a wip. :) i really hope you like my work and i will post wireframes and clayrenders on request.

Very very nice:+1: :+1: :+1:

you have a way with photoreal things, its all very very nice. The eyes in the first one might be up too high. Might want to check that.

Great work! I’m interested in your render and texture workflow, what software did you use?

All the best

great,
can i see clay render from boris becker?

regards jerry

Amazing stuff!

One thing though, the first head is incredibly creepy without eyelashes, eyebrows, and in his case I’d also add nose hair and peach fuzz too.
But it’s only creepy because of the superb realism of the skin and the eyes

Also, I think most people should already know your work, even without a previous thread on ZbrushCentral…

hey raul!!

great to finally see new stuff from you. i’ve been admiring your stuff since i first saw at (-think it was at the old tweak forum).

the head looks great. only crit i might have so far, would be, i think his tearduct is too big. or the fold around of it is, imo.
i’m very interested in hearing about your shading workflow and what render you used for this. the eyes are really well done.

looking forward for more.

Amazing job on Boris Becker!

Hello, rual, you put close to end’s Boris Becker compare, the digital version is total 3d or just main face is 3d then composite with photograph(like hair and ear)?

I’m just gonna start with the evolution of this character backwards. top most recent images and bottom the very first ‘sketch’ of the guy. i’m sure u guys will find the transformation interesing/ funny.
wire_2.jpg

to answer questions: first off - i am going to give the shader away when this project is finished and i will expalin how it works. will post textures a bit later, dont have the time now.
workflow:
1)basemodel:mudbox bashead mesh
2)took it to zbrush and made the version that u can see above, the clay screencapture
3) textures done at that point with zbrush
4) retopologised in max(wireframe u can see on top of post)
5) final detaling and texturing done in mudbox
6) ‘final’ rendering done in vray: shader:vraysss2. lights: 3 area lights. renderind: adaptiveDMC, IRR+no secondary bounce. gamma2.2 dont affect colors.
7)comp in nuke

lijueshi-you’re definitely right about that, it has a lot of photo elements in it
but the very first image on the top of boris(B&W) had only one photo element- the hair. rest is rendered. all those progress images were lost in production. i will dig through my folders and see what i can find

thanks a lot guys. more to come :stuck_out_tongue:

looking at the post i realize now how unserious i was about this character until i decided to finish it and learn something new. heh

Amazing. Thanks for sharing and I look forward for the shader.

Boris Becker turned out really nice.
The first head at the top of the thread is nice too, but the flesh seems a bit too hard and not fleshy enough. The textured version gives it a plasticky look.

great to see you here Raul, the first portraits coming out very nicely
keep it up:+1:
