Timeline Export Problem

Hello, and congratulations on the new release. It is great :slight_smile:

I have a question about the ExportName button on the timeline menu. When I try and export the vertex animation this way it does nothing, the files do not appear to actually save. I am not sure if I am doing things wrong, and I couldn’t find information on it in the documentation.

Could someone, either at Pixologic or perhaps a beta tester, please let me know if this function is fully working yet, or if there is a specific workflow I need to be aware of?

Ok, so I just figured out what I was doing wrong to end up without the .mdd file.

Apparently I had forgotten to save the animation itself by ctrl-shift-clicking the timeline. I have a new issue now though. Does anyone know how to import a .mdd file into maya? I have tried importing it as a cache, but I get an error:

“// Error: Selected file has 0 channels and 1 objects are selected.”

I have never tried anything like this before, and I cannot find information about it on the internet. This is probably because I don’t know quite what to look for :slight_smile:

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
