timelapse recording crashes on new 64bit machines

computer:
xp profesional x64
version 2003
service pack 2
intel xeon cpu
E5450 @ 3.00ghz, 8 gb ram

Ok so we have new machines at work now, and ever since I got this, every time I go to save a timelapse it crashes. Other coworkers are having the same problem. I didnt know if there was a way to fix this, or if it has even been addressed. I have not been able to save a timelapse since. Thanks

If you are talking about saving a Quicktime movie then this is a known issue. Open Quicktime then under Edit > Preferences - Quicktime preferences - Advanced - Safe Mode (GDI Only).

yeah, thanks, i will try that out. Thanks for the tip!

So I started to try your way, but forgot it doesnt even make it to the point of setting export settings, it just crashes when you hit save. Thanks for the input, if i make it to there, then i will try those settings to.
Any other ideas, kind of sucks this happens, we are trying to save out some character work.

Just open QuickTime itself from your Start Menu. Don’t do it from within ZBrush. Then you can change the setting, after which ZBrush will be able to talk to QuickTime successfully.

Sweet thanks guys, it totally worked!
