Tileable texture tutorial?

Im looking for a recent tutorial entitled: Creating tileable textures and normal maps. I believe it was by Ryan Kingslien using ZBrush 3.5 (or 4?). It was on the front page for quite some time but I can no longer locate it.

Any direction towards it, if possible, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This isn’t recent and it’s in ZBrush 2.5 but it’s the only one I found. BTW, what do you mean by “front page” ??..If you meant “Top Row Threads” then all of those go into the Gallery.

Anyway, here’s the link…

Pixologic Release - Learning Series: Tileable Textures

Zber: As you said, this is an older tutorial video.

This new tutorial was on the pixologic.com front page for well over a month using ZBrush 3.5 (possibly 4). It was there back at the start of October, for example.

Thanks for your time.

OK! I know which one you mean now. He was creating the bricks in 3D then dropping them down to 2.5D canvas then making a tileable texture and normal map from that. I have the video but it’s 86 megs and it’s in .flv format.

Zber2: Yes! That’s the one exactly!

If it’s okay could you share that, or point me to a DL or stream link?

I pm’ed you.

Thanks for your help ZBer.

I’ve gleaned some similar information from the older video.

Maybe the newer one will pop up somewhere, sometime.

Wonder why it was taken down. :frowning:

No problem Floydshayvious. If any of the mods sees this, maybe they could find it and upload it to Pixologic Youtube Channel. Nudge Nudge! Wink Wink!

Hey i am looking for the same tutorial. could you please post it too you tube or something. it seems to be about the only tutorial that pixologic didnt back up to youtube

It probably has something to do with Youtube’s 15 minute time limit. The video is 21 minutes long.

in either this or a nearby video from cannedmushrooms he goes into making things tileable. Hope this helps.
