Hi everyone
ZBrush is so cool, I feel like Dr Frankenstein! I’ve only been using it for a week, but that’s virtually all I’ve been doing, All week! (Luckily, I’m on vacation!). Anyway, meet ‘Monica’. I have absolutely no idea why she is called ‘Monica’, but having spent the last eighteen hours creating her (See, I even sound like Dr Frankenstein), I had to call her something! (She actually started off as the ‘Head’ in the ‘Box Modelling’ tutorial of the Manual, but I got sidetracked!!
I’ve done all the colour-work again in Photoshop, as I’m still getting to grips with Zbrush’s colouring and texturing tools. I must say though that I love using Photoshop’s blending layers, hue/saturation, and opacity alterations to colour these models, but I guess I will have to bite the bullet soon and start using ZBrush so I don’t have to spend hours colouring each time I want a different pose!
Incidentally, just wanted to mention that I’ve found a new use for Zbrush! As the best ‘Art Mannequin’ there is! I pencil draw and have found that the Zsphere modelling is brilliant I can’t think of anything else or any other program whereby ANY kind of figure, of any proportions can be created and posed so easily, and it’s even a quick and simple process to produce an outline for tracing.
Ah well, back to the laboratory. I’m sorry, I mean ‘computer’.
