I follow you closely Micalis. And it is always a pleasure. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Thank you Roland,
Merci bien Kargall

My dual xeon machine is badly damaged, so I can’t really work for some time now.
However, just for fun, this on my 7 years old laptop. To keep in touch.

for us this very well you have fun
thank you very much for sharing:+1:

glad to see your old laptop is able to handle the displacement modifier  and allow you so this way some fun… i enjoy

best of luck with repair/upgrade/replacement as you choose. Fantastic shape, it looks alive!

Thank you all
@doris, eh, displacement modifier? This is zbrush, right?
Blender isn’t running well on this old machine anyway.

Still waiting for my computer to get fixed.
Still on a core2duo 2 GB seven years old laptop.
Another BPR, (dynamesh > z remesher > multires Zsculpting) just to keep in touch.
three lights passes composited in Pshop. There should be a decent lightmapping - compositing in zbrush.

Hi Michalis
Couldn’t resist
Everything happens for a reason…:laughing:A broken computer got you back into doing some sculpting of the kind that I really enjoy seeing…:D…Great :+1:

:)Glenn

Thanks Glenn

wonderful, michalis!.. and, you know, i was sculpting on an airbook quite long, which had same amount of ram, but the processors were much weaker, want to say with this, enjoy what you can do! and it might be more than you expect… how long did they say the repair will take?

Thanks doris.
Still waiting the news, they said nothing! I own a small fortune there, I wonder what policy is this. Some days now.
I could sculpt this in 15 mins, it took me some hours, because of the bad viewport performance. It hurts my eyes.
Still being able to sculpt (and render) in zbrush. A wonderful app.
On the other hand, combining three render passes (export to Pshop), three light positions, provides a close to a GI based render engine result. To use three lights in zb, simultaneously, is quite different. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate tit.

yes zbrush also was for me the only 3d app that had still very reasonable performance on the weak airbook… that is one point that makes zbrush so great. you can use it nearly on every hardware… not so with blender…
i cannot say workaround in zbrush for the render passes, i always did these and composed in photoshop if i did render in zbrush, same as you say, the only thing i did differently than you is (as you know) i did render only tiny images, with the longest side 800 pixels… this way i was able to do full renders, even in blender… and, since i saved the projects with everything, i kept the possibility to do later a full size render…
this hapened actually with my portrait ā€œcharlyā€, you remember he was top row in ba, at that time he was created on the airbook, with such a small render, , now i rerendered him in huge for the book as was requested… see?..it is ok if you cannot do immediately, enjoy what you can do now, and save everything(!)

ha, the fortune, yes we mac lovers all have that at apple, have we not, i have tons of macs, almost all are still running (though not really usuable due to speed or other issues… lol)

Thanks Doris. Repair will take a while but the cost is under 200 euros.
Meanwhile, having fun with the BPR.

A self portait maybe (except from the hair/beard)? Nice one

hi psy-fi, so fun to see you at zbc too  … really you think it is self portrait? so then i have good idea how michalis looks, even if beard and hair look different

Thanks Anthony, Doris.
BTW, michalis looks like this, the sculpt obviously is not a self portrait. (he he, all portraits we create may be considered as self portraits from one certain point of view)
Anthony, you… LOL

that is one hell of a character and a sculpt. Soon the Gods will begin to chase you!

ah, thanks for sharing, michalis  yes not a selfportrait, but i do see why psy-fi thought so, the same way brow is raised, you sculpt that often in variations, the form of mouth, the eyes, lol,yes the mirror is our best friend…
