Thanks, kargall, nassosa.

Very good, reminds me of an insect:+1:

Thanks PFC666
An insect indeed. I’ll try for more interesting forms. Just trying hard to keep a distance from any Dali related influence. If possible

do not worry about the Influences
all have influences
Dali also
Any way is wonderful, and the artist’s shows
and the viewer gets excited
that simple
a hug;)

Thanks PFC666. I mean, well, hmhm, I was never a fan of Dali’s work. Always a fan of Max Ernst and DeChirico though.
An artifact, after some experiments on zb qremesher and loops/extrudes, on blender loops and UVs/displacements. Resculpted for a more natural look (less CG-like). Another complete non-sense, as always.

look very interessing

Fantastic image (nonsense) I like,
but the sense that it serves?
a hug

Thanks PFC666,
A crab-like artifact. Loops and loops
(It’s a ~5000 faces base with normal and AO maps support. Subdivided here to avoid render issues -cycles)

…a Maya mask or an alien Space ship!
So a support for the imagination!

A crutch of the reality said Dali

very good Michalis, nature offers always the best forms and structures.

Just to say I’ve on my terrarium a couple of Heteropterix and one Archispirostreptus gigas
would be cool to made them in 3D as well…check them on line…beautiful big insetcs

@Pilou.
Thanks
Are you a fan of Dali’s work? Because I am not. But always a lover of Max Ernst, De Chirico, Picasso, Giacometti, and all the masters of the old schools/civilizations.
@LVXIFER
Thanks, I checked it, beautiful.

Youre all wrong its a hand with six fingers and two opposable thumbs says home erectus… as time melts before his eyes… LOL

You have certainly got this method under your full control, congratulations… and i like the earthy textures too Deke

Thank you Deke.
Here’s an attempt on a very low poly mesh.
Ready for a VGame engine, I guess. (15k poly)
Used a bump map and an AO map. (this second is controlling the BSDF diffuse shader, it give this fake sculpted effect)

Excellent stuff again!

Michalis, excuse my curiosity, but you do put out so much great artwork -
do you use these skills on professional jobs allright or is this a mere hobby for you
and more for the thrill of investigating things?

Thank you Jake
It’s rather a way to experiment on conceptual art.
I did work professionally in the past (low poly assets and a few archi vis) but that’s all. I just learned the basic principles of topology, Nmaps, loops, all this “pro” stuff.
However, I’m a 2d traditional professional artist.
ZBrush, blender, 3dcoat etc became a fine opportunity for me to study some more on drawing, sculpting.

Hi Michalis

Excellent end results on these last few explorations of yours :):+1:
Don’t know how you got there…doesn’t matter to my way of thinking…only the end result matters…whatever works …works, and getting there by whatever means necessary is the name of the game…

Glenn

Thank you Glenn.
How I got there. After realizing that half of zbrushing is just displacements, I guess so.
And recently, displacements on loops.
I will come back soon with my usual sculpting studies.
A different one. Organic projections.

That looks realy nice man.:+1:
