I was working with a “tool8”.I didn’t like it and load a tool8 again. So that in my tool pallet I have 2 versians of a tool with the same name - “tool8”.
I did some changes in the second tool and saved it.
I went on working on the second tool.
In a few minutes zbrush stoped working and even a mouse didn’t respond.
I had to restart my computer.
But then when I wanted to load “tool8” zbrush always used to crash…I restarted the computer again but I could’t load my tool8,zbrush crash.
What can I do to recover tool8?
A corrupted model can’t be recovered. I don’t believe it was corrupted because you’d loaded two copies of it. Loading the model doesn’t change the model – nothing is changed until you actually save. What I suspect was the case is that your model was already corrupted from your previous save. You were probably only able to load the duplicate due to cached data from your current ZBrush session. Once ZBrush crashed, that cached data was lost and so ZBrush couldn’t load the model anymore.
When you save your work, are you using SubTool Master’s Save button? If not, you should! This will help avoid file corruption. (Not necessary for the Mac version.)
thank you very much!
