hello,. I have a silly question,. how to create a texture polypaint with resolution larger than 1024 ?.
I’ve already made 2048 x 2048 or 4096 x 4096 new texture, hit the Txr>Col button, and start painting, but everytime I hit the Col>Txr button, the output texture reset to 1024 x 1024. i’ve tried many times with diferent resolution in new texture,. but the result is always the same, the output is always 1K. why it happen ?

Polypaint your ztool.

In the texture pallet, set the texture size you want, then hit the NEW button. This will drop a new texture at the desired size into the active texture slot. Initially, it will be filled with your foreground color in your color pallet; the default is white.

Your ZTool will also temporarily be filled with white, but don’t worry about it. Just go to the Texture section of the Tool pallet and hit COL>TXR. That will take your polypaint color information and stamp it onto the texture that’s currently sitting in the active texture slot. Now for a warm and fuzzy feeling, take your mouse cursor and hoover it over the open texture slot to see the info flyout - it will tell you that the texture is at the size you set earlier.
