Well, im a new user of zbrush, and yeah, this program is fantastic.
The problem i ran into is that the smooth brush (the one that you use when holding the Shift key) gives to mutch efect, changing the intensity doesn’t change anything this brush. Where can i find the intensity of this smooth brush?
nvm i found it out
go to the brushes palette
select the smooth brush
change it’s Z intensity
go back to any other brush…when you hold shift it will reference what you have the smooth brush set to now.
it defaults at 100…around 15 to 25 is where I am unless i need to change it, but that is a good start if you ask me.
You can’t change Zbrush to start with the smooth brush’s Z int at a different setting…I hope they change this in 3.5
Just edit the smooth brush as you like (Z intensity around 20-25 for me) and save it (button on the top of the brush palette) in the ZData\BrushPresets folder.
You can overwrite the original one, or just save it under a different name.
Having two smooth brushes can be great, because a low Z value is needed on low level of Subdivision, but a high Z value is better on high level of Subdivision.
Totyo…I didn’t know that…as I stated, thanks a ton.
