This is the RS_RedChavant material,right? It’s one of the best for me. Great sculpt!

I’ve worked more on this fellow now. The retopo is done and Im currently blocking in the anatomy. Im thinking more about it being aesthetically pleasing and functional, than actually correct at this point.

After the model is done, I will make him some kind of armor, texture him in Mudbox (as I find texturing in Zbrush to be less than optimal, for a number of reasons), rig him in Maya, shade, light and render him in Vray for Maya. It should be an interesting project, as I’ve never finished a project like this before in Maya before, as Modo has been my primary tool.

An update on Snickle-Futts. It’s slowly getting there. I’m very close to finishing the model. Next up. Textures.

I think there is some mismatches in his body that doesn’t help to his character.

Thanks for the comment. Any specific things you can point out?

The upper arm.
The ankle and shape of feet.
And proportion of head.

Im starting on the texture and Im now doing a quick render test just to get the feeling of what the final will look like. I’ll work a lot more on the texture.

The texture is working really well! Can’t wait to see the final paint job.

Nice design, but I don’t think evolution would “put” another pair of eye just a little further away from the “normal” one. Maybe more to the sides or even behind.
Where they’re sitting now I don’t think they bring an advantage to the creature and evolution is all about advantages - the survival of the fittest.

Another quick render test, this time in Vray. Im still working very much on the textures, but I really enjoy these tests as I have a better approximation of what the final will look like and as such, I have a better idea where I must focus my efforts.

The zebra stripes look more subtle. Not sure if that’s done on purpose, but I like it.

i lieked the extreme stripes lot more ;f
