The Sketchbook of Henning Sanden

Nice Henning, the light coming from behind him is looking good.

Thanks, Brandon. Appreciated

I’m now working on the skin shading and texturing.

Love you work. Such talent and still so young! I’m scared to see what you bring in the next 10 years.

That’s what I’m talking about.

Great render! I feel his skin could feel a bit softer (it doesn’t feel completely real). It’s a great image though!

This is inspirational. I am really crappy with my presentation and this teaches me a few things. Amazing sir!

Shrimpcat: Thanks!

Brandon: Thanks, mate!

Tobbeo: Thanks! I will definitely work further on the skin shader. Thanks for pointing it out.

Demonfetus: Thanks!

Since last time I posted here, I’ve started my bachelor at The Animation Workshop, where I’m studying computer graphic art. So far, my mind has been completely blown away and I’m loving it. Here are some of my work so far this year.

This is my current project. I’m now in my second week of maya, and our assignment was to make a character. Dino_06.jpg

A drawing I made some weeks ago, after a class of composition. Our theme was Robot Graveyard.

This was the result of my first week of Maya. I’ve never used the app before, so it was rather challenging. I did most of the modelling in Maya, except for some Zbrush, like the rocks and such. Rendered in Mental Ray in Maya with post in Photoshop.

Fantastic work. Very impressed by the renders as well. How did you manage to learn maya so fast? I would love to see all the rage faces in 3d. THat would be a great project.

matb63: Thanks!
anigroove: Thank you!
SuperHer0: Thanks.
Jack: Tganks!
womball: Thanks! Well, not sleeping seems to be a nice way to learn Maya. Honestly, I worked very hard those weeks.

Some lunch doodles. 45-ish minutes. The topics were underwater creature, gay vampire, happy hippo and king of carrots. Loads of fun, all of them!
